KLEEN KOTE
Wirtz Kleen Kote is a liquid compound that may be used in place of acetylene smoke on the gate portion of grid molds. It is an aid in preventing the casting alloy, or small drips from the ladle, from sticking to the mold during the casting cycle. Kleen Kote is a very clean and easy product to use.
Used in place of the acetylene smoking procedure, the acetylene equipment is eliminated, and the coating has proven to be a more satisfactory, anti-sticking material. Longer cork life and fewer miss-pours can be expected.
APPLICATION: Mix one (1) part Kleen Kote to five (5) parts water.
With a soft paint brush, apply an even coating of material over the mold gate area following the mold corking procedure. Apply additional coatings as required during operation.
Available in 1 gallon pails.
