AUTOMATIC INSERT PRE-HEATING, FLUX APPLICATION, INSERT TIMING,
PART CASTING, PART REMOVAL with HIGH PRODUCTION RATES.
Automatic casting for production of copper inserted lead parts at rates up to 60 cycles per
hour. The process begins with an operator loading the copper inserts into the fixture and
imitating the automatic process. The inserts are transferred to the pre-heat station, and
then moved to the fluxing station, the inverted fixture is then moved to the tinning
station, after which encapsulation of the part by the two mold halves ready for lead
pouring. The lead is dispensed by the proven Wirtz LDS method, after cooling the gates
are sheared off and ejected for reprocessing by the lead furnace. The finished parts are
moved to the unload station. All the processes and controls by way of Programmable
Logic Controls.
