Wirtz Model 60/60C Mechanically Operated Gravity Grid Casting Machines
The Wirtz Model 60C grid caster is designed to operate similar to the Model 40 Series with 20″ added machine length to allow for extra grid cooling time prior to trimming of the grid panel. The Model 60C features Allen Bradley controls to provide optimum grid quality at the fastest operating speed. Also included as standard items in this unit are items normally optional on the Model 40 Series such as grid counter, grid inspection table, tool holder, machine interlocks for shut down capability of an individual caster in a group arrangement, ammeters to monitor electric heater circuits, auto fill system to improve grid mold cast ability, and a die lube system which includes a one gallon reservoir. The Model 60C is ideal for producing thick grids for golf cart and scrubber type batteries or soft alloy grids
